FRISCO - Despite a four-run Corpus Christi eighth, the RoughRiders secured a 7-6 victory on a wet Sunday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
With Corpus Christi (20-23, 54-59) trailing 7-2 in the eighth, catcher Jamie Ritchie penned a memorable moment in the club's history. With one down in the inning, Ramón Laureano coaxed a free pass from lefty Joe Filomeno. Dexture McCall later delivered a two-out single, and Colin Walsh was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Ritchie then smacked a 1-2 pitch into right-center for a three-run triple, completing the first cycle in the Hooks' 13-year tenure.

Ritchie, who plated a career-best four runs, homered in the second off Richelson Peña (1-0). His second round-tripper of the year gave the Hooks a short-lived 1-0 lead. The Corpus Christi catcher singled in the fifth, and doubled in the seventh.
Frisco (18-26, 49-65) broke a 1-1 tie by scoring three unearned runs in the fourth. Yoanys Quiala issued two walks and surrendered a single to fill the bases for Royce Bolinger. With two down in the frame, Bolinger hit a chopper to the left side of the infield. Quiala (2-4) raced from the hill and made the pickup, but his throw was wild to first base, allowing two to score. Second baseman Ryne Birk then mishandled a ground ball for the third marker.
The Riders, who did not hit a home run in the first three games of the series, went deep twice in the seventh. Under a steady downpour, Ryan Thompson had dispatched eight of the first nine hitters he faced before plunking Michael O'Neil with a 1-0 pitch. Eric Aguilera clubbed his 13th home run of the season for a 6-2 Frisco advantage. Juremi Profar added a two-out solo shot off Nick Hernandez.
Following Corpus Christi's outburst in the eighth, Ricardo Rodríguez slammed the door with a perfect ninth for his fifth save.
The Hooks are off Monday and open a six-game homestand Tuesday. Brock Dykxhoorn (3-5, 5.01) is slated to pitch for Corpus Christi in the opener vs. Tulsa.
