The Pigs jumped out to an early 3-0 lead against the Red Wings and former Phillies' farm hand
Plouffe, who homered for the first time as a Pig Monday night, blasted a towering two-run home run to give Lehigh Valley the 2-0 lead. Following an
Plouffe continued to burn his former organization in the sixth inning with the Pigs leading 3-0. With Cozens on first, Plouffe doubled to right-center for his second extra base hit of the day and third RBI.
De Los Santos was brilliant once again in his eighth start for the Pigs. He struck out five and allowed just one run in his final inning of work. Of the five hits that De Los Santos allowed, two of them came from rehabbing Miguel Sano.
After allowing a sacrifice fly in the 7th, De Los Santos got his fifth strike out to end the frame and limit the damage to just one. De Los Santos improved his IL-leading ERA to 1.39 on the season and his 49 strikeouts rank him tied for third in the league.
