The Pigs jumped out to a 2-0 lead against Bruce Zimmermann (0-1) in the bottom of the first inning. Austin Listi hit a sacrifice fly and Rob Brantly hit an RBI single. Norfolk got a run against Rosso in the top of the second and third innings to tie the game at 2-2. Jack Reinheimer singled in the top of the second inning and Austin Hays hit his fifth home run of the season.
Ali Castillo extended his hitting streak to 11 games in the bottom of the fourth inning when he hit an RBI single off Zimmermann to give Lehigh Valley a 3-2 lead. Zimmermann got pulled without recording an out in the bottom of the fifth inning for Pedro Araujo. The Pigs scored five runs in the inning to take an 8-2 lead. The inning was highlighted by a Phil Gosselin three-run home run.
Matt McBride homered off Araujo in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the Pigs ahead 9-2. Castillo followed up with a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to extend the lead to 11-2.
Connor Brogdon, Josh Tols and Tom Windle each made an appearance out of the bullpen. Ademar Rifaela scored on a wild pitch in the top of the ninth inning to make the score 11-3.
The IronPigs homestand continues Monday night starting at 7:05 p.m.
