In his fourth game of September and 44th of the season, Johan Mieses powered the WooSox to a game two victory. Frank German finished off the victory with a scoreless inning, the 15th runless outing in his last 18 appearances.
In game one, a three-run fourth inning from Lehigh Valley was the difference. Worcester starter Victor Santos allowed the first two batters to reach, then gave up a go-ahead RBI single by former WooSox Yairo Muñoz. Darick Hall followed with a three-run home run to right to make it 4-0 IronPigs.
Santos took the loss, finishing the day with the following line: 4 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K.
Jarren Duran crushed a solo homer to right in the sixth, his second Triple-A home run since the start of September.
After a runless fifth from Jake Thompson, Lehigh Valley scored in the sixth inning on a Johan Camargo homer off Durbin Feltman, the final run in a 5-1 IronPigs victory.
In his second and third games with the WooSox, Bobby Dalbec went 2-for-6 with a walk and an RBI.
Worcester is now 1-2-4 in its doubleheader slate this season.
