Baysox Unveil 2015 Promotional Schedule
BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today a snapshot of the promotional schedule for the 2015 season. The schedule includes 19 fireworks nights, a number of family-friendly events, multiple giveaways, recurring weekday events and a wide variety of fun theme nights with more fun still to be announced in the coming weeks.
The 2015 promo schedule starts off with a bang as the Baysox host the Seven Millionth Fan Celebration Friday, April 17. The first 1,000 fans in attendance that night will receive an instant- win scratch-card with one card containing the seven millionth fan grand prize. The Baysox will also pay tribute to the "Sultan of Swat" with a Babe Ruth Bobblehead Giveaway Sunday, July 19 in partnership with the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum. The first 1,000 fans ages 13 and older will receive a bobbling version of the local legend wearing his Baltimore Orioles Minor League jersey from 1914. The Big Rigs are also coming to Bowie Saturday, May 30 for the Touch-A-Truck event presented by Miss Utility. Dozens of construction vehicles and large trucks will be in the parking lot before the game for fans to interact with and there will be a Touch-A-Truck T-shirt giveaway for the first 500 kids ages 3-12.
Baysox Marketing Director Brandan Kaiser is excited to unveil some new theme nights this season. "The fireworks nights are always fan favorites, but we have plenty of other great events planned this season to ensure our fans are always entertained," Kaiser said. "The City of Bowie is helping the Baysox show Maryland Pride with a Maryland Flag Baysox logo T-shirt Giveaway in June. We are also excited to debut Paint in the Park Night during Tailgate Tuesday June 9."
While the whole family can enjoy fireworks, the Baysox have a slew of activities planned for younger fans. Saturday, June 20 will be the Baysox Princess Party with visits by some of your favorite movie and book characters. Later in the season, the Baysox will celebrate Superhero Night with a pre-game concert by kids bank Rocknoceros on Saturday, Aug. 1. In addition to specific theme nights, younger fans can enjoy special exclusive events for members of Louie's Kids Club each month of the season. Back for a third season, all Kids Club members can eat free on Sundays with a special ticket purchased online in advance. The Baysox have weekly recurring promotions that last throughout the season. New for 2015, the Baysox have changed the start time for all Sunday home games to 2:05 p.m. for a special Sunday Funday Celebration. All fans will be able to run the bases after Sunday afternoon games in 2015 and there will be a Baysox player autograph booth set up for 20 minutes after the front gates open for each game (excluding Meet the Team days June 21 and Aug. 23). The Baysox will show their Orioles Pride by celebrating Wear Orange Wednesday all season long. For each Wednesday Baysox home game, fans who wear Baysox or Orioles gear will receive $5 off a box seat purchased at the ticket office the day of the game.
Monday nights will again be Mutt Mondays, where fans can bring their dogs to the game. On Tailgate Tuesdays, fans can enter the ballpark early for batting practice and enjoy $2 draft beer specials in the Bud Light Picnic Pavilion from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. (excluding April 21). On Tuesday, fans can also enjoy Dollar Dog Night where Esskay hot dogs are just $1 from the time the main gates open until the end of the 4th inning (Limit 2 hot dogs per person, per transaction; Excluding April 21). One Wednesday of every month is Military Appreciation Night, where anyone able to show proof of military service can purchase a box seat ticket for $8 and every Saturday game concludes with postgame fireworks.
Each month of the season also features a beer dinner in the climate-controlled Diamond View Restaurant. Tickets include a two-hour all-you-can-eat buffet and three hour open bar. Tickets for the beer dinners must be ordered at least 48 hours before the event. For more information or to order tickets, fans may call (301) 464-4880.

Returning for the 2015 season is the Baysox Silver Sox Senior Club, sponsored by Hearing Professionals. The Silver Sox program is free to join and open to anyone age 55 and older. Throughout the season, the team is hosting five exclusive events for members of the Silver Sox program. Tickets to each event are $17 and include: suite level seating, a two-hour all-you-can-eat pasta bar, cookies and unlimited iced tea & lemonade.
