Beerfest at the Ballpark tickets on sale now

LANSING, Mich. - Tickets are on sale now for the spring Beerfest at the Ballpark, an outdoor beer and cider festival with live acoustic music hosted by the Lansing Lugnuts in partnership with I'm a Beer Hound and presented by Gillespie Group, to be held on Saturday, April 25th, at Cooley Law School Stadium.

Attendees will have the opportunity to taste 200+ craft beers and ciders from 45 Michigan breweries and five cideries, with music from Brian Lorente and the Usual Suspects, Bittercreek and Joe Wright. Festival hours are scheduled from 3-8 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door and include entry, a logoed tasting glass, and 10 tasting tickets. Tickets are available at BeerfestAtTheBallpark.net and LansingLugnuts.com.

Special VIP Tickets may be purchased for $40 in advance, providing early entry to the festival at 2 p.m, a logoed tasting glass, and 15 tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the event.

"Last year was an enormous hit, and this season will be even bigger and better," said Lugnuts General Manager Nick Grueser. "As a proud part of the Mid Michigan community, we look forward to celebrating the very best in Michigan brews."

"In the thick of winter, looking ahead to craft beer at the ballpark is the way to warm things up," said Paul Starr, creator of I'm a Beer Hound. "Michigan has earned its title as 'The Great Beer State,' and the Beerfest at the Ballpark is the perfect place to prove this to yourself."

Attendees must be 21 years of age. Ground transportation will be readily available via taxi service, and a $10 Designated Driver ticket will be offered on the day of the event. Area hotel accommodations can also be found at Lansing.org. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Old Newsboys, a local charity that provides shoes for deserving school children.
