Doug Davis to start for Rattlers on June 30
GRAND CHUTE, WI - The
Milwaukee Brewers have announced that Doug Davis will make a rehabilitation
start for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. The
left-hander will start the game on Wednesday, June 30 when the Rattlers host the
Quad Cities River Bandits at 12:05pm.
Davis has not made a major
league start since May 10. He has
been on the disabled list since doctors diagnosed him with pericarditis, an
inflammation of the membrane surrounding the heart, in mid-May.
Davis was 1-4 with a 7.56 ERA in seven starts for the Brewers before
going on the DL.
Davis has made a pair of
rehabilitation starts for the Nashville Sounds, the Triple-A affiliate of the
Brewers. In his last start on June
24, Davis pitched five shutout innings, allowed two hits, struck out nine, and
picked up the win against the Memphis Redbirds.
Tickets are available for all
