Gwinnett Braves Homestand Highlights: April 9-16
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA - The Gwinnett Braves will embark on their seventh season of baseball at Coolray Field with their Opening Night game at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, April 9. On that night, Gwinnett will host the defending International League South Division champion Durham Bulls, Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, in game one of a four-game series.
Opening Night will feature a T-Shirt Giveaway for the first 2,500 fans in attendance sponsored by Georgia Power, performances by Quick Flight The Juggling Mime and musician David Payton, and the Magic Man Face Painting station that will be at the stadium throughout the weekend. Following the game, fans are invited to stick around for the first Post-Game Fireworks show of the 2015 season.
The festivities continue at 7:05 p.m. Friday with a 2015 Gwinnett Braves Magnetic Schedule Giveaway for the first 2,500 fans in attendance. The evening will also feature the first Fireworks Friday display after the game.
An appearance by the Georgia Bubbleman highlights the fun scheduled for Saturday's game at 7:05 p.m., as the performer will showcase his extraordinary bubble creations and teach fans how to create their own special bubbles. The first 2,500 fans through the gates will also receive a 2015 Gwinnett Braves Magnetic Schedule.
The series vs. Durham will conclude on Sunday with the first Sunday Funday of the year! Bring the family out early before the 2:05 p.m. game for Pre-Game Catch on the Field. Catch will begin when gates open at 1:00 p.m. and last for 20 minutes. Stop by the Cartoon Network "Stop Bullying, Speak Up" booth to take a pledge to speak up against bullying and receive a special Gwinnett Braves ticket offer. After the game, all kids 12 and under will get to run the bases courtesy of Belhaven University! In addition, Journey cover band Departure will perform a post-game concert.
The G-Braves will welcome the Norfolk Tides, Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, to open a two-game set starting with a 6:35 p.m. contest Monday, April 13. It's the first Meal Deal Monday of the season, and fans can follow the G-Braves on social media to learn about weekly Meal Deals. The following night is a Two-For-Tuesday game at 6:35 p.m. All Infield Box and Field Box seats are two for the price of one.
The homestand will conclude with two games against the Charlotte Knights, Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The series opener is a Winning Wednesday night when fans can follow the on-field action with Baseball Bingo for a chance to win great prizes. Kids ages 12 and under also eat free! The finale will be a Triple Play Thursday when fans can purchase a package that includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks, all for just $40!
