Season will begin on Friday, doubleheader scheduled for Sunday
April 9, 2015

MANCHESTER, N.H. - After an unseasonable blast of snow and chilly temperatures, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats have announced that the season-opening game scheduled for 6:35 p.m. tonight has been postponed. The game will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Sunday, April 12 beginning at 1:35 p.m. Both games of the doubleheader will be seven innings long.

"Despite the best efforts of our grounds crew and operations team today, you just can't fight Mother Nature," said Fisher Cats President and General Manager, Rick Brenner. "With great weather predicted for this weekend, we are excited to get the season going."

The team's opening day festivities planned for tonight will now be held on Friday night with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m. The team will present the first 2,500 fans on Friday night with a magnet schedule courtesy of Elliot Orthopaedics. Dronehead Odyssey will perform on the concourse before the game as part of the Friday Night live music series. After the game, the first Atlas Fireworks show of the season will wrap up the night.

Tickets from tonight's postponement may be exchanged for a ticket to a future game this season, based upon availability. Tickets may only be exchanged at the stadium box office. Tickets for future games are available for purchase at www.nhfishercats.com, by calling 603-641-2005, or by visiting the stadium box office.

Friday's pitching match-up has not been announced. Pre-game radio coverage begins at 6:15 with Tom Gauthier and Bob Lipman on WGIR 610 AM and www.nhfishercats.com.
