Senators Home for Four with Portland Beginning Thursday Night
The weekend has something for everyone in the family, including the family pets! From $2 beers to fireworks to free food for kids under 12, the season may be winding down but the fun at Metro Bank Park is just getting started. The new Metro Bank Park is getting rave reviews this season, so if you haven't been to a game this weekend is a great time and if you have, well then, grab the family and come on out again. The weekend line up is loaded. The day-by-day schedule is listed below.
Thursday night, July 29, the Senators open their four-game series with the Portland Sea Dogs with a 7:00pm first pitch. It's another $2 Buck Beers on the Boardwalk brought to you by Coors Light and 105.7 The X. Enjoy the game while hanging out with friends on the boardwalk. Fido, Whiskers, and whatever pet you may have is invited to the ballgame as well as its Pet Night sponsored by Purina and Metro Bank. Bring the family and the family pet(s) to the game! There is an in-game raffle for your pets. Metro Man will also be making an appearance. Gates open at 6:00pm.
Friday night, July 30, the series against Portland continues with a 7:00pm game. Come on out for another Flatscreens & Fireworks Friday Night presented by Subway and WINK 104. The Senators will be giving away a flatscreen TV once per every inning throughout the course of the game. All fans 18 and over are eligible to win, just sign-up at one of the tables located throughout the ballpark. After the game, sit back and enjoy another one of the Senators outstanding fireworks shows. Gates open at 5:30pm on Friday night.
Saturday, July 31 the Senators and Portland Sea Dogs play game three of their four game series at 7:00pm. Saturday night is the second Kids Jersey Giveaway sponsored by Metro Bank, WINK 104, Hot 92 and abc27. The first 1,000 fans 12 and under will receive a free Senators Jersey. Then after the game, they can pull those jerseys on and run around the bases just like their favorite Senator. Kids run the bases is presented by Wolf Furniture. Saturday is also Autism Awareness Night as the Senators will have a special pre-game presentation and a pre-game Wiffle Ball on the field for them. SpongeBob also makes an appearance for the kids. SpongeBob Night is presented by XFinity by Comcast. SpongeBob will sign autographs and take pictures with his fans. Gates open at 5:30pm.
Sunday, August 1 at 2:00pm is the final game of the series and homestand against Portland. There's something for everyone in the family on Sunday. The day starts with the Autographed Baseball Grab Bag for the first 1,000 fans entering Metro Bank Park. Fans get to reach into a "bag" and grab a signed baseball. Every baseball has an autograph from an Eastern League All-Star, Harrisburg Senator or former Major League star! Kids Eat Free presented by Cost Cutters. Every fan 12 and under receives a free meal on Sunday. Get your voucher at the table near the front gates at Metro Bank Park and then find one of the several locations throughout the park giving away the free meals. It's also Family Day presented by Rite Aid, BOB 94.9, & 97.3 The River. Get a Family Day coupon at your area Rite Aid that gets you 4 box seats, 4 hot dogs and 4 sodas for only $24! And after the game, kids 12 and under run the bases! Gates open at 12:30pm.
Tickets to these games, as well as any remaining game this season, are available online through the Senators website 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Sens box office is open 9:00am to 5:00pm daily, Monday through Friday, and from 9:00am until the 5th inning of all Sens home games.
