Nine Days of RiverDogs Promotions to Kick Off Second Half of Season

Independence Day Celebration, Military Appreciation Night highlight longest homestand of 2015

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Following a grueling nine-game road trip to Greenville and Asheville, the Charleston RiverDogs return home for the first time in the season's second half. The Rome Braves return to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park for a four-game block, and the Kannapolis Intimidators make their lone visit of the year to Charleston with a rare five-game series.

Saturday, July 4, 6:35 pm: Celebrate Independence Day at The Joe with 101.7 Chuck FM and Kickin' 92.5. (Note the special start time of 6:35 pm.) Stick around after the game as we light up the sky with a postgame fireworks display over the Ashley River. Put simply, this is the best and most extensive fireworks display in the Lowcountry.

Sunday, July 5, 5:05 pm: Venture to the park early and give blood during the American Red Cross blood drive, and anyone who donates blood then will receive a free ticket to the game. The blood drive begins at 12 noon and ends at 5 pm. Every Sunday at The Joe is a Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission Kids Club Sunday, presented by Y102.5. Parking is free and kids 12-and-under eat free courtesy of Pepsi. The youngsters will receive a coupon for a hot dog, fountain drink and chips. All members of the RiverDogs Kids Club receive free admission to every Family Sunday Game. The RiverDogs Kids Club, known as the RiverPups, is free to join and open to all kids 12-and-under. Stick around after the game and receive free autographs on the field from all of your favorite RiverDogs players and coaches.

Monday, July 6, 7:05 pm: Every Monday at The Joe is Coors Monday Night Baseball, presented by Kickin' 92.5. Visit the Ashley View Pub for $1 hot dogs and $1 draft beers as the RiverDogs spoof Monday Night Football. Prove how well you know the RiverDogs team by playing a web-based game of baseball live at the ballpark. Fan can choose players from Monday night's game and cheer them on as they follow the scoring along on their phones. The winner for the night will take home a grand prize, and there will be prizes for second and third place as well. Monday is also Firefighter Night at The Joe sponsored by ServiceMaster, so join us and help celebrate Lowcountry firefighters. Dogs With a Cause will feature Operation Christmas Child, the world's largest Christmas project that brings joy and hope to needy children around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes. Tuesday, July 7, 7:05 pm: Whether it is your first date or you have been together for decades, bring your special someone to the fifth Miller Lite Tuesday Date Night at The Joe, presented by NASH FM. Have you ever had a terrible date? Tell us about it during "Terrible Dates Tuesday!" On the main concourse, we will have our Miller Lite "Bro Zone" set up where bros can grab a beer, relax, play some cornhole and enjoy the game. One special couple will also be able to enjoy a sit-down dinner on this evening. For every Tuesday home game, any duo of fans will receive a special 2-for-$20 deal at the box office. The promotionincludes two game tickets, two tacos, two fountain drinks and one nacho tray all for $20. Whether you have a significant other or just want to hang out with a friend, come out to The Joe and enjoy Tuesday's spectacular promotion.

Wednesday, July 8, 7:05 pm: Every Wednesday home game at The Joe is a HealthSouth Senior Wednesday, presented by MeTV. Seniors who enter the park before 7 o'clock receive a food voucher for a complimentary hot dog, 16-ounce fountain drink and bag of chips. The RiverDogs will be raising joint health awareness all night, so come to the ballpark, enjoy the game and while you're there, learn how your knees work. Wednesday is also Hump Day presented by Magic 107.3.

Thursday, July 9, 7:05 pm: The first Thirsty Thursday of July is the sixth of 10 Thirsty Thursdays during the season. Enjoy "Happy Hour" with $1 beers and music in the Ashley View Pub presented by Budweiser. DJ Natty Heavy will once again spin popular tunes throughout the game, presented by 95SX. Thursday is also "Throwback Thursday," so help us throw it back a few years during the game. Every Thursday going forward, the RiverDogs will be paying homage to the red solo cup, everybody's favorite beverage receptacle! During the Seventh Inning Stretch after "Take Me Out to the Ballgame", the Red Solo Cup song will play in the stadium and all the fans in attendance will toast to the red solo cup.

Friday, July 10, 7:05 pm: Friday is the seventh ISHPI Red Shirt Friday of the season and is presented by WEZL, with postgame fireworks over the scenic Ashley River presented by Home Telecom. Support the military by wearing red and when you come to the box office, you can receive $1 off your ticket. Fans will then have the option to donate that dollar to Canines for Veterans, who will once again bring "Titus the Bat Dog" to perform his batboy duties during the game. The RiverDogs will once again wear their special red jerseys as a show of support for our military. Friday is also Watermelon Night at The Joe, so join us as we celebrate one of the summer's best fruits and get your own slice as you leave the park courtesy of the South Carolina Watermelon Association. Little sluggers hit the field for Friday's Advanced Hitting Clinic.

Saturday, July 11, 6:05 pm: Start off your Saturday morning at 9 o'clock with Downward Facing RiverDog Yoga, featuring renowned yoga instructor Kathryn Budig. All active, retired and immediate military family members will receive free admission to the game. The RiverDogs will be wearing custom-made "Green Army Man" jerseys presented by ISHPI, which will be auctioned off through a silent auction during the game. Saturday night's giveaways include a Military Heroes Baseball Card set, featuring actual military members instead of baseball players, and Green Army Men presented by WCBD News 2. Ever dream of rounding third base and heading for home at The Joe? Saturday night is another chance to make that dream come true as kids are able to run around the diamond every Saturday, with the Postgame Kids Run the Bases program presented by CPI Security Systems.
