Lookouts Games Now to Be on ESPN Radio 105.1 FM
The Chattanooga Lookouts and Brewer Media had previously announced an agreement in which Hippie Radio 106.9 FM would become the Lookouts' new flagship station; however, sister station ESPN Radio 105.1 FM was able to adjust its network agreement to now become the official flagship station of the Chattanooga Lookouts.
"This is a natural fit for Lookouts fans, as many are ESPN Radio 105.1 FM listeners. They will be able to hear Lookouts games night or day throughout the valley," said Lookouts Director of Broadcasting Larry Ward.
Ward, who is entering his 24th season as "The Voice" of the Lookouts, has accrued over 3,000 games behind the Lookouts microphone in his storied career. In addition to being twice named Southern League Broadcaster of the Year, he was inducted into the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. For the fifth consecutive season, he will be joined in the booth by Will Poindexter.
In addition to tuning in on their radio dials, fans will also be able to listen to the Lookouts via online streaming at lookouts.com and espnchattanooga.com.
The Tennessee Valley's Sports Authority, WALV-ESPN Chattanooga 105.1 The Zone, is Chattanooga's only ESPN fm affiliate featuring national ESPN programming such as All Night w/Jason Smith, Mike & Mike in the Morning, The HERD w/Colin Herd, The Scott Van Pelt Show, The Doug Gottlieb Show and ESPN Game Night in addition to local favorites such as The Nick Bonsanto Show. ESPN Chattanooga also provides comprehensive regional and local coverage of professional and college sports, most notably as the flagship home for the Chattanooga Mocs.
ESPN Chattanooga 105.1 is the fourth station under the Brewer Broadcasting division of Brewer Media. Brewer Media serves Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia with five radio formats, a publishing division featuring alternative news in Chattanooga, video production services, custom websites, exclusive cab topper rights, and a growing portfolio of websites designed to reach distinct market segments.
The Chattanooga Lookouts begin their 2011 regular season on April 7th against the Tennessee Smokies at AT&T Field. Tickets for the 2011 season can be purchased at the Lookouts Box Office at AT&T Field, online at www.lookouts.com, or by calling (423) 267-4849.
