Swanson promoted to Mississippi Braves

The Braves promoted Dansby Swanson to Double-A Mississippi today

ZEBULON, NC - The Atlanta Braves announced several player transactions today with two affecting the Carolina Mudcats active roster. The moves included the transfer of SS Dansby Swanson to Double-A Mississippi and the activation of C Sal Giardina off the disabled list.

Swanson, 22, leaves Carolina for Mississippi after batting .333/.441/.526 with a league best 12 doubles over 21 games with the Mudcats this season. At the time of his promotion, Swanson was ranked fifth in the Carolina League in average (.333), first in doubles (12), fourth in on-base percentage (.441) and third in extra-base hits (13).

The Mudcats roster is currently at 25 active players with three on the disabled list and one on the suspended list.
