Motorsports Night, Faith & Fireworks Night highlight 7-game Intimidators home stand

Chance to win two pairs of tickets to 600 at Thursday's game

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (May 23, 2016) - With the big race in town this weekend, the Kannapolis Intimidators - Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox - are hosting the team's annual Motorsports Night on Thursday, May 26, to kick off a 7-game home stand against the Asheville Tourists (Colorado Rockies) and Augusta GreenJackets (San Francisco Giants). Fans in attendance at Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System will have a chance to win two pairs of tickets to the 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday night as well as a Richard Petty Driving Experience valued at more than $500. In addition to Motorsports Night featuring giveaways all game long, the home stand also features Faith & Fireworks Night on Saturday, May 28, presented by ServPro of North Cabarrus County and China Grove as well as Cornerstone Church featuring a pre-game concert by Selfless Sunday. Church groups can reserve tickets in advance for only $7 in reserved seating sections.

We're revving up the engines at the ballpark with Motorsports Night featuring full throttle giveaways and promotions all night long. One lucky fan will win a Richard Petty ride along and driving experience valued at more than $500, plus the Intimidators are giving away two pairs of tickets to the 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday night. Fans must be in attendance to win. Every Thursday at Intimidators Stadium is Thirsty Thursday presented by Buffalo Wild Wings at Exit 54/Afton Ridge Shopping Center featuring discounted drinks all game long. Following each Thursday game, fans can play Launch-A-Ball presented by Dick's Sporting Goods for a chance to win Intimidators prize packs and tickets to future games.

Be one of the first 500 fans through the gates and receive a Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation wristband as part of this week's Freebie Friday. It's also Get Healthy Kannapolis Night, and fans can show off their physical fitness by doing push-ups or jumping jacks to receive a reserved-level ticket for only $5 at the box office. Healthy food options at the concession stand will also be discounted throughout the game.

Faith & Family Night is back as the Intimidators welcome fans to the ballpark for a fun night of fellowship, live music, baseball, and fireworks. Gates open early for a pre-game Christian concert by Selfless Sunday starting at 5:30 p.m. Following the Intimidators game against the Tourists at 7:05 p.m., fans can hear from players about what their faith means to them. Plus, the night wraps up with a fantastic fireworks display presented by ServPro of North Cabarrus and China Grove as well as Cornerstone Church.

Saturday is also Military Appreciation Night presented by Yuengling, and any fan with valid military ID will receive a free reserved level ticket and can purchase additional reserved seats for the discounted price of only $7 at the stadium box office.

Join the Intimidators for a special start time at 2:05 p.m. for Kid's Day Sunday presented by Cornerstone Church. The first 1,000 fans will receive a 2016 Team Photo courtesy of the City of Kannapolis Parks & Recreation. Be sure to arrive early and take part in a pregame autograph party where fans can get autographs from the entire team on the field. It's the biggest autograph party of the year, and it starts at 1:20 p.m.

Following the game, kids can run the bases. Tickets for kids (ages 4-12) are only $5 in both reserved and general admission sections as part of Kids Day Sunday.

Bring your appetite to the ballpark for Belly Buster Night at a special Memorial Day start time of 6:05 p.m. at Intimidators Stadium. Fans can purchase an all-you-can-eat wristband for only $10 to enjoy a never-ending menu of hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders, fries, popcorn, funnel cakes, and more (excludes drinks, candy, and third-party vendors). Monday games are also Kannapolis Citizens Appreciation nights with free admission to Kannapolis residents courtesy of the City of Kannapolis (with proof of residency - i.e., driver's license, electric bills, etc.).

Tuesday features Arby's Two-for-Tuesdays where fans can purchase 2-for-1 tickets with any Arby's proof-of-purchase at all Tuesday night games in 2016. This week's deals include 2-for-1 hamburgers at the main concessions stand, 2-for-1 pretzels at the snack shack, and 2-for-1 white logo baseball in the Intimidation Station team store. Tuesday is also Senior Club Night presented by Five Oaks Manor, Kelli Y Allen Elder Law, PruittHealth Hospice, PruittHealth Town Center, Sterne Agee, Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis, and Trinity Oaks. Between innings, fans can win prizes by playing BINGO presented by Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat Associates.
