Rhett Wiseman's walk-off single lifts Hagerstown over Lexington, 4-3
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Lexington kept Hagerstown off the scoreboard for eight innings, but with Hagerstown's ninth inning rally and Rhett Wiseman's walk-off single, Hagerstown won the second game of the series on Friday, 4-3.
Lexington scored all three of their runs in the third inning, one on a double by Roman Collins and two on a double by Anderson Miller.
In the ninth inning, Telmito Agustin singled to score Hagerstown's first run of the game and move Edwin Lora to third, who scored on a wild pitch. Max Schrock singled to load the bases and Cody Dent walked to tie the game, 3-3.
With the bases loaded, Rhett Wiseman singled to bring in the winning run.
Miller had two hits for Lexington and Schrock had two hits for Hagerstown.
Winning pitcher, Grant Borne, held Lexington to one hit through four innings and earned his first win.
Lexington's Nolan Watson (1-6, 8.72) will face Hagerstown's Joan Baez (2-4, 4.76) in game three of the series Saturday at 7:05 p.m. ET.
