A Salute to the Military and an Early Independence Day Celebration On Tap at PNG Field

Curve to recognize and honor Veterans and current military, celebrate an early 4th of July and auction off special caps

CURVE, Pa. - The Altoona Curve are back at Peoples Natural Gas Field to face a pair of Eastern League foes as the Binghamton Mets return and Bowie Baysox make their only appearance at PNG Field this season. Fans who come out will be able to: take in four separate Fireworks Shows, have a chance to spook up the ballpark on Halloween night, honor and Salute Our Military and Veterans, and enjoy an early 4th of July celebration. In addition, the Monday-Thursday games will provide great daily deals with MEGA Monday, 2 For Tuesday, 4-Pack Wednesday/Student Rush, and Throwback Thursday among others.

Monday, June 27 vs. Binghamton Mets | 7 p.m.

  • MEGA Monday: The Altoona Mirror brings Curve fans great deals with $1 bleacher seats, $6 meatball subs and Guaranteed Win Night! If the Curve win, then fans can redeem their ticket to use at any remaining MEGA Monday game in 2016!

Tuesday, June 28 vs. Binghamton Mets| 7 p.m.

  • Fireworks: The first of four fireworks shows during this homestand will light up the skies above Curve, Pa. after the Curve take on the B-Mets.
  • 2 For Tuesdays: Fans can take advantage of 2-for-1 specials on tickets, hot dogs and small popcorn every Tuesday in 2016, presented by the Atlantic Broadband.

Wednesday, June 29 vs. Binghamton Mets | 7 p.m.

  • Fireworks: It's back-to-back nights with a spectacular fireworks show at PNG Field.
  • Halloween Night: In the spirit of the new Ghostbusters movie, we're celebrating all things haunting. Come dressed in your favorite costume as we turn the park spooky!
  • 4-Pack Wednesday: Get four tickets, four hot dogs and four regular size sodas for as low as $45.
  • M&T Bank Card Wednesday: Present your M&T Bank card at the PNG Field box office to save $2 off your ticket to Wednesday's matchup against Erie, presented by M&T Bank.
  • Student Rush Wednesday: Anyone who brings a current student ID will receive $2 bleacher seats, presented by Loyal Gaming Rewards.
  • Wing Wednesday: They were a hit last year, so we're bringing back Wing Wednesdays. Get 50-cent wings, with a minimum order of six wings.
  • FREE Ritchey's Dairy Kids' Club Game: Kids 12-and-under who are members of the Ritchey's Diary Kids Club will receive free entrance to the series opener against the Hartford Yard Goats. The Ritchey's Dairy Kids' Club is a great opportunity for young Curve fans, and it's FREE. Just by signing up, youngsters will get free admission to Kids' Club games, along with other exclusive benefits for being a member.
  • Kids Run the Bases: With it being a Kids' Club Game, it's a bonus night for kids to run the bases following the fireworks show.

Thursday, June 30 vs. Bowie Baysox | 7 p.m.

  • Throwback Thursday: Join us every Thursday as we wind back the clock to celebrate the Curve's inaugural season. Players will wear 1999-style jerseys and caps, and fans can take advantage of $1 Juniata brand hot dogs by Kunzler, $2 Bud Light 16 oz. drafts and 22 oz. sodas, plus Steamer will be in the house!
  • Law Enforcement Night: Join the Curve in recognizing Law Enforcement professionals who help keep our community safe. 

Friday, July 1 vs. Bowie Baysox | 7 p.m.

  • Veteran Card Set Giveaway/Salute to Our Military: While the Curve appreciate the sacrifices made by these brave service members every day, the Curve will hold a special salute to all of those who serve and have served our great country. The first 1,000 fans through the PNG Field gates will receive a Veterans Card Set Giveaway featuring area veterans from the various branches of the United States military. The salute and card set are proudly presented by Martin's Foods.
  • Homeless Veterans Drive: The VA is asking fans to bring much-needed new twin sheet sets and new towels for homeless veterans.
  • Miracle League Ball Launch:  After each weekend home game, fans can participate in our ball launch game to win prizes from DQ, Panera Bread, and the Curve with proceeds going to the Miracle League of Blair County
  • Kids Run the Bases:  Kids 12 and under may run the bases after every weekend home game in Curve, PA!

Saturday, July 2 vs. Bowie Baysox | 6 p.m.

  • Fireworks: After the Curve and Baysox face off, be sure to stick around for a spectacular fireworks show that will light up the Curve, Pa. skies!
  • Team USA Night: The XXXI Olympic Games begin on August 5th so in preparation, we are Celebrating Team USA in their quest to bring home the gold!
  • Miracle League Ball Launch:  After each weekend home game, fans can participate in our ball launch game to win prizes from DQ, Panera Bread, and the Curve with proceeds going to the Miracle League of Blair County
  • Kids Run the Bases:  Kids 12 and under may run the bases after every weekend home game in Curve, PA!

Sunday, July 3 vs. Bowie Baysox | 7 p.m.

  • Special 7:00 p.m. Game Time:  With the holiday being on the day after this game, the Curve and Baysox will start the game at 7:00 p.m. (instead of the usual 6:00 p.m. start on Sunday) to ensure nighttime skies as the backdrop for the huge fireworks spectacular!
  • Early Gate Time:  Ballpark gates will open 90 minutes before first pitch at 5:30 p.m. to accommodate early arrivals on what's expected to be a busy evening in the Lakemont neighborhood.
  • Independence Day Eve Fireworks: The Curve will be out of town on Independence Day, so come celebrate early with a spectacular4th of July Fireworks Celebration presented by the Pennsylvania Lottery. This show will be twice the length of the Curve's regular fireworks displays and be played out to patriotic theme music.
  • Hat off the Head Auction: The Curve will be wearing special 4th of July-themed caps for the game, and post-game, the caps will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.
  • Individual Picnic Buffet Tickets Available: A limited amount of individual, all-you-can eat picnic tickets will be available for purchase in the US Foods Picnic Pavilion for the July 3 game. The tickets provide access to a two-hour buffet from 6:00-8:00 p.m. that includes ribs, chicken, burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, chips, baked cookies, soda and water. Seating is within the pavilion which is on field-level near the left field line.
