Sherman's Party and Fireworks Coming

Salisbury, Md. - The Delmarva Shorebirds are celebrating the birthday of our beloved mascot Sherman the Shorebird on Friday night at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. A litany of mascots will be in attendance including the Oriole Bird and Poe the Raven. The homestand ends on Saturday May 28 with a Q105 postgame fireworks show.

Sherman is turning 15 years old on Friday night at Perdue Stadium. A pregame ceremony is scheduled to honor the biggest and best bird in town.

Sherman's mascot friends will be at Perdue Stadium to as part of Mascot Mania presented by Sherwood of Salisbury. The featured mascots are the Oriole Bird from the Orioles and Poe the Raven from the Baltimore Ravens. Local mascots that are expected to attend include: Harry the Hawk from UMES, Sammy the Sea Gull from Salisbury University, Pancake from IHOP, Delmar the Bloodhound from the Blood Bank of Delmar, Louie from the Bowie BaySox, Wilbur the Pig from Famous Dave's, Jolly Roger from Jolly Rogers, Phil from Phillips Seaford, Icee the Penguin from the Delaware State Fair and Chipper from Herrs Potato Chips.

Friday night is also a chance for families to take advantage of Froggy Friday Family Fun Packs. For only $40, get four tickets, four Dietz & Watson Hot Dogs, four Pepsi products, four amusement ride passes, a logo baseball, a coupon for a free pizza from Papa Johns and a coupon for a free car wash from Soft Touch Car Wash.

The homestand concludes on Saturday, May 28 with a Q105 FM postgame fireworks show.
