Senior Vice President, Tyler Tumminia, Leaving the Goldklang Group
FLORHAM PARK, NJ (September 08, 2016) - The Goldklang Group, a sports entertainment ownership and consulting firm, today announced that Tyler Tumminia will leave her position as Senior Vice President at the end of 2016 season. She will, however, remain a minority owner in the Pittsfield Suns. Tumminia joined the Group in 2004 and during her tenure has overseen all areas of operations of the groups four minor league clubs. She has been credited as a key component in elevating the brand to one of the premiere MiLB groups in the industry.
"Tyler's career with the Group has been truly remarkable. From her rapid ascent towards an executive position, to her infectious creativity and leadership, she was our version of a five-tool player. It goes without saying that she will be missed, and we're certain she'll have a similar impact in the next chapter of her professional journey," said Jeff Goldklang, President of the Goldklang Group.
"After 13 phenomenal years as SVP of The Goldklang Group, I've made the decision to move on to my next challenge. I leave the group with great pride and fondness. I worked alongside many talented, dedicated people and feel good knowing the work we did has had a positive impact on the sport. I'll always be thankful to the Goldklang family," said Tumminia.
Tumminia developed the Group's award winning marketing philosophy, Be Your Own Fan, in response to current market trends and industry analysis. In addition, she is responsible for the largest group-wide partnership with a major brand and the largest singular themed promotional event in the Group's history. Her development of the Professional Baseball Scouts Hall of Fame has received tremendous recognition throughout the industry, and has been hailed as a gamechanger in how scouts are perceived at the local levels.
Tumminia is a sought after speaker on the campuses of elite colleges and universities, educating students on various topics relating to the business of sports. She is a recipient of the Roland Hemond, MASA and Marcom awards for excellence in her field, and in 2011 was named Executive of the Year by NYU's sports management program. In the fall of 2011, she successfully completed MLB Scout School in Arizona. Tyler was recently named Top 25 Female Executives in Sports by Bleacher Report and received the Game Changer award by Sports Business Journal as a Female Owner in Baseball.
