Texas Rangers ALDS Roster Features 15 Former Express Players

Eleven Members of the Rangers' ALDS Roster Suited up for the E-Train this Season

The Texas Rangers announced their American League Division Series roster in advance of today's game one against the Toronto Blue Jays. It features 15 former Round Rock Express players, including four on major league rehab stints:

Pitchers (5):

LH Alex Claudio (2014-16)

RH Yu Darvish (2016 rehab stint)

RH Keone Kela (2016 rehab stint)

LH Colby Lewis (2013 rehab stint, 2014)

LH Martin Perez (2011-13, 2015)

Catchers (1):

Robinson Chirinos (2013, 2015, 2016 rehab stint)

Infielders (4):

Adrian Beltre (2011 rehab stint)

Mitch Moreland (2012 rehab stint, 2016 rehab stint)

Rougned Odor (2015)

Jurickson Profar (2013, 2016)

Outfielders (5):

Shin-Soo Choo (2016 rehab stint)

Carlos Gomez (2016)

Jared Hoying (2013-16)

Nomar Mazara (2015-16)

Ryan Rua (2014-16)

Of these 14, only eight were on the 2015 ALDS roster (Beltre, Chirinos, Choo, Kela, Lewis, Moreland, Odor and Perez).

Former Express players Hanser Alberto, Dario Alvarez, Delino DeShields, Andrew Faulkner, Joey Gallo, Derek Holland, Jose Leclerc, Nick Martinez, Yohander Mendez, Brett Nicholas and Tanner Scheppers were left off the 2016 roster.
