Lindor, Sano headline Midwest All-Stars
Lindor, ranked as the No. 29 overall prospect in baseball by MLB.com, headlines the Eastern team that also includes three Bowling Green players in the starting lineup: first baseman Jeff Malm, third baseman Tyler Goeddel and outfielder Josh Sale.
West Michigan's Steve Moya (OF) and Dean Green (DH) join Lansing's Kevin Pillar (OF), South Bend's Gerson Montilla (2B) and Fort Wanye catcher Austin Hedges as the rest of the Eastern's starters.
Sano, whose 13 homers top the Midwest League, leads a Western squad that features Peoria's Rafael Lopez (C) and Paul Hoilman (1B), Kane County outfielders Lane Adams and Jorge Bonifacio, Quad Cities' Colin Walsh (DH), Wisconsin's Greg Hopkins (2B), Clinton's Jamal Austin (OF) and Burlinton's Sean Jamieson (OF).
Notable pitchers include Fort Wayne's Adys Portillo, San Diego's No. 16 prospect, 2011 first-round pick Archie Bradley, the D-backs' No. 2 prospect, and Noah Syndergaard, Toronto's top-ranked pitcher, all on the Eastern squad.
Kane County, which will host the game on June 19 at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark, will send it's field staff to the home team's dugout as manager Brian Buchanan leads the Western Division squad. Lansing's John Tamargo Jr. was selected as the Eastern Division's field manager.
Rosters were selected by team managers, who also nominated players. Below are full rosters for both teams:
