Javy Lopez Appearance Highlights Upcoming Homestand

The Birmingham Barons will open a five-game series against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, beginning Thursday, June 7th at 7:05 PM.

The homestand kicks off with Thirsty Thursday featuring 16 oz. beverages for $1 presented by Budweiser and Buffalo Wild Wings. Special Guest and former Atlanta Braves catcher Javy Lopez will throw out the first pitch prior to Thursday's game and will be available for autographs and pictures from 7:00-8:00 pm courtesy of Walter Energy. Prior to Thursday's game there will be a pre-game concert presented by Redline Bar & Grill. Gates will open at 6:00 PM.

The weekend starts with a bang featuring post-game fireworks on Friday presented by Coca-Cola, Dales Seasoning and MBS. The Barons will be giving away souvenir caps to the first 1,500 adults prior to game compliments of Coca-Cola. Saturday the Barons will be giving away souvenir mini bats to the first 2,000 fans courtesy of MINI of Birmingham. Sundays throughout the season are Military Sundays at Regions Park presented by DRASH, Dreamland BBQ and Red Diamond. Fans presenting a military ID can purchase $3 general admission tickets every Sunday throughout the season.

The homestand concludes with Back to Basics Monday presented by YP Real Yellow Pages. The Barons will be giving away souvenir replica bats to the first 1,000 fans courtesy of the Principal Financial Dreams Tour. In it's second year, the focus of the Family Dreams Tour is to provide attendees with information they can use to put themselves on the road to a brighter financial future. The tour is part of Principal's efforts to help Americans in their efforts to find financial stability.
