Goebbert, Wikoff at Whataburger Friday

Appearing at 4545 Violet from 11-1
July 11, 2012

CORPUS CHRISTI - Hooks outfielder Jacob Goebbert and infielder Brandon Wikoff will sign autographs and mingle with fans at a local Whataburger Friday.

Meet the players at 4545 Violet Road between 11-1. Radio station KFTX-FM has scheduled a live remote broadcast.

A portion of Friday's lunch proceeds benefits Goodwill Industries of South Texas. Bring your gently-used clothing items, place in the large fry box and pick up a voucher for a new 2012 Hooks/Goodwill t-shirt and a special offer coupon from Whataburger.

Goebbert was selected by the Astros in the 13th round of the 2009 draft out of Northwestern University. In 64 games with Corpus Christi, he's hitting .263 with 30 RBIs. Goebbert has 21 extra-base hits, including 12 doubles and five home runs.

Wikoff is another former Big Ten player (Illinois) drafted by Houston the same year Goebbert was taken. A fifth-round choice, Wikoff plays second and third base for the Hooks.
