BlueClaws Thank Sister Teams For Sandy Assistance
"It was our own 'Baseball Volunteer Day,'" said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "We thank all of these teams who came from a significant distance away during a busy time of the year to help out in our communities. That says a lot about all of these great teams. We are thrilled they are part of our baseball family."
In addition, each team held a supply drive at their parks over the previous week and items, including clothing, non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, and more were donated to local relief efforts.
The volunteers were broken up into 15 groups and went to different locations, including the towns Point Pleasant, Bay Head, Manasquan, Belmar, Seaside Heights, and Union Beach, as well as several non-profit organizations including Catholic Charities, the Salvation Army, and Habitat for Humanity.

The BlueClaws and Atlantic Physical Therapy Center have launched Restore The Shore Fridays, through which businesses and families wear special Restore The Shore t-shirts each Friday through Memorial Day while making a donation to BlueClaws Charities. In 2013, 100% of the proceeds from this program will be returned to those impacted by Hurricane Sandy. More information is available at BlueClaws.com/Restore.
