The Drive to Five
"Giving back has never been so much fun," said Greg Coleman, president of the Erie SeaWolves. "This year's schedule is packed with fireworks, giveaways and entertainment. It's an ideal venue to spend quality time with friends and family, and you have the added benefit of knowing that your purchase is also helping more people in our community move out of poverty."
The Erie SeaWolves and United Way will also be partnering again with Save-A-Lot this year on the "Strike Out Poverty" promotion. At each home game, Save-A-Lot will donate $2 to United Way for each batter that is struck out by an Erie SeaWolves pitcher. Last year's promotion raised nearly $2,000 for United Way of Erie County.
"This is another great example of how the SeaWolves are LIVING UNITED," said Bill Jackson, president of United Way of Erie County. "Their dedication to our community and their belief in our mission will help us continue to further our efforts to help 10,000 more families become self-sufficient by 2025."
