Hellweg Impressive In Start For Nashville
March 24, 2013

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Nashville Sounds were held to four singles in a 2-0 loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes (AAA-Dodgers) on Friday afternoon at Camelback Sports Complex.

Nashville faced locked-in major leaguer Ted Lilly, who was getting in some extra work in minor league camp.

The Sounds received singles from Blake Davis, Scooter Gennett, Shawn Zarraga, and T.J. Mittelstaedt.

Right-hander Jonnny Hellweg continued his impressive spring with a four innings of shutout ball, allowing two hits and striking out one batter during his 50-pitch effort.

After Travis Webb worked a scoreless frame of relief, Chris Jakubauskas and R.J. Seidel each surrendered a run before Kyle Heckathorn closed out the game with a scoreless inning.

The Sounds (4-3) continue spring training action on Saturday with another road contest, their third of five in a row away from Maryvale, when they'll face the Salt Lake Bees (AAA-Angels) at Tempe Diablo Stadium Sports Complex. It will be the clubs' lone meeting this spring.
