Brave the Blue II: Big L's ready
(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) The Lexington Legends' Big L will again join rappellers descending from the top of the 31-story Lexington Financial Center September 25 and 26 in downtown Lexington.
The event, called "Brave the Blue" in reference to the blue financial center building, is a fundraiser for the Bluegrass Council, Boy Scouts of America. Each participant, including Big L, raised at least $1,000 for the Boy Scouts. More than 11,000 young people are involved in scouting in the 55 counties served by the Bluegrass Council.
Big L is scheduled to begin his descent at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, September 26.
"Big L is a good man, he's a strong man, and we're all proud of him for his community support and braving the blue," said Legends President and COO Andy Shea.
Big L made his rappelling debut in last year's Brave the Blue event. He descended the 410-foot-tall building while wearing a new Legends home uniform, which was being seen for the first time.
