Buss Named Topps' Triple-A All-Star
Minor League Baseball and the Topps Company announced today that Albuquerque Isotopes outfielder Nick Chili Buss has been named as a 2013 Topps' Triple-A All-Star. Buss also earned the 2013 Isotopes Players' Choice Awards for Most Valuable Player and Fan Favorite.
In his first season at the Triple-A level, Buss was Albuquerque's lone All-Star in the 2013 season, leading off and playing left field for the Pacific Coast League All-Stars. The Michigan native led the Pacific Coast League in RBI with 100 on the season. The 'Topes outfielder ranked in the PCL's top ten with 139 hits, 84 runs, a .525 slugging percentage and a .888 OPS. The left-handed hitter also finished second in the league with 11 triples. Drafted in the eighth round of the 2008 First Year Player Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers, Buss also made his Major League debut with the club on September 14, 2013.
