The Fresno Grizzlies move to a new radio home
FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Grizzlies have announced a three-year media agreement with One Putt Broadcasting, making KYNO 1430 AM the new flagship radio station of the club. All 144 regular season games will broadcast live without interruption with veteran play-by-play announcer Doug Greenwald returning for his 12th season behind the microphone.
KYNO's 5,000-watt AM signal covers Merced to Visalia, the Sierra Nevada's and west to the I-5 corridor. Every game will also be available online for live streaming at KYNOfresno.com.
"One Putt Broadcasting is the dominant sports connection in the Valley," stated Grizzlies VP of Marketing and Operations Drew Vertiz. "It was also imperative to our fans that our broadcasts not be pre-empted or joined in progress and One Putt was able to deliver that and much more. We're proud to have KYNO be our new radio home."
"The contributions the Grizzlies have made to the Valley community and to the revitalization of downtown are a perfect match for our passions," said One Putt Broadcasting partner John Ostlund.
One Putt partner Chris Pacheco added, "The Grizzlies drew nearly 500,000 fans to Chukchansi Park last season and play in the best Triple-A ballpark in America. The opportunities are endless and we're thrilled about the partnership.
One Putt Broadcasting operates four radio stations, including KYNO 1430 AM, ESPN 940 AM, The Deuce 790 AM, and K-Jewel 99.3 FM. In addition to the Grizzlies, One Putt broadcasts Fresno State athletics, San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Lakers, San Jose Sharks, and local high school sports.
Billboards featuring KYNO and the Fresno Grizzlies will be posted within one week throughout the Fresno area.
The first broadcast will be on Opening Day when the Fresno Grizzlies visit the Las Vegas 51s on April 3rd. The first home broadcast will be on April 11th at Chukchansi Park.
