Annual event held to be held at the Hard Rock Hotel
March 19, 2010
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.-The 33rd Minor League Baseball Promotional Seminar is set to be held in Las Vegas this fall. This annual event geared for sports professionals to discuss and exchange ideas about topics including promotions, sales, marketing, operations and much more will take place from Sept. 28 to Oct. 1 at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. The city was the site of the Promo Seminar from 1998-2000.

In addition to the exchange of ideas, attendees will benefit from a baseball trade show, job fair and numerous social events. The Promotional Seminar Trade Show offers attendees an early look at the hot items for 2011 from some outstanding companies that cater to the baseball industry. The Professional Baseball Employment Opportunities program (PBEO) will provide an "in-person" opportunity for job posting, interviewing and hiring.

"The MiLB Promotional Seminar provides attendees with the opportunity to share creative thoughts and ideas with some of the brightest executives in the sports industry in the areas of marketing, sponsorships, promotions and advertising sales, as well as the opportunity to participate in discussions on areas such as executive management and career building," stated Tim Purpura, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Minor League Baseball. "Given the financial challenges facing the sports industry in these economic times, the MiLB Promotional Seminar is a "must attend' for individuals and teams looking for an edge in these turbulent times."

The Las Vegas 51s will be the host club for the two-and-a-half day seminar, which also includes a Welcome Reception.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino includes an 11-story Hard Rock Hotel tower with 640 guest rooms, 17-story Paradise Tower with 479 guest rooms and the brand new all-suite HRH Tower with 359 suites, eight spa villas and seven penthouses; several restaurants and nightclubs, The Joint concert venue and 4.8 acres of pool, among its amenities.

For the second consecutive year, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a local Habitat for Humanity project before the Promo Seminar begins. More information regarding the Promo Seminar can be found at http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/events/seminar.jsp.
