Lillibridge lifts Crawdads
Brad Corley led off the bottom of the ninth with a single off Ryan Rote (1-12) and moved to second on Jason Delaney's sacrifice. Anthony Mansolino followed with a walk and after Steve Lerud struck out, Cameron Blair walked to load the bases. Rote, who leads the South Atlantic League in losses, then walked Lillibridge to force home Corley.
Lillibridge, who was 2-for-4, led off the bottom of the eighth with a drive over the center-field wall for his 10th homer and a 1-0 lead.
Javier Castillo and Francisco Hernandez started the ninth with consecutive singles off Crawdads reliever Matt Swanson (4-3). Salvador Sanchez followed with a base hit to left field to score Castillo and tie the game.
Swanson, who blew his fourth save, got Brandon Johnson to ground into a forceout to put runners on the corners. The 6-foot-8 right-hander picked off Johnson before retiring Paulo Orlando on a lineout to end the inning.
Corley had three hits to lead the Crawdads (31-34).
Intimidators starter Derek Rodriguez went seven innings, allowing seven hits, striking out three and walking two.
Sanchez had two hits to lead Kannapolis (18-48).
Hickory's Joe Bauserman went six innings, allowing two hits with three walks and a pair of strikeouts. Derrik Moeves gave up three hits, struck out one and walked one in two scoreless frames.
Intimidators right fielder Anderson Gomes extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a single in the sixth. --Chip Haunss/MLB.com
