Legends' Cisnero too elusive for Drive
The Legends had a 6-0 lead when he exited, but the Drive rallied to an 8-6 victory to keep the 21-year-old right-hander from his second win of the season.
Greenville's Wilfred Pichardo opened the bottom of the first inning by reaching on a fielding error by center fielder Grant Hogue. Cisnero (1-0) walked Derrik Gibson, but the Dominican Republic native induced two groundouts, one of which resulted in a double play, to end the frame.
In the second, Cisnero hit Daniel Butler with a pitch and walked Zach Gentile. Gibson singled in the third, Gentile walked again in the fifth and Butler took a base on balls in the sixth. But each time, Cisnero kept the Drive off the scoreboard.
The outing lowered Cisnero's ERA from 7.11 to 4.82. Over his first three starts of the season, Cisnero yielded 10 earned runs.
Right-handers are still batting over .300 against Cisnero, but he has limited left-handers to a .200 average this season.
