The Generals, hitting a league-best .290 entering Friday, made Mobile starter Grayson Long (0-2, 2.81 ERA) pay on a pair of pounded pitches during his five-inning start. In the third, Marzilli led off with a cloud-bursting blast down the right field line at Hank Aaron Stadium, remaining just barely on the fair side of the foul pole to give Jackson a 1-0 lead. Two innings later, Walsh buzzed the clubhouse roof beyond the right field wall for the second time in the series to put the Generals ahead, 2-0.

The Generals return home to West Tennessee Monday to kick off a ten-game homestand. The first five are against the Tennessee Smokies before the team welcomes the Pensacola Blue Wahoos to town. The team will host a Sarge-themed weekend starting Thursday, May 11 with his birthday celebration! It's also Thrifty Thursday, featuring $2 deals on general admission tickets, hot dogs, popcorn, 24-oz. Pepsi products, 16-oz. beer, ice cream and fun zone wristbands!
