Carrying a .227 batting average into Wednesday's contest, the 19-year-old outfielder singled up the middle in the first inning and drove in three runs -- aided by an error -- with a double to left in the third.
Another miscue helped the native of the Dominican Republic reach in the fifth, but Fabian didn't give the Legends any chance to catch the ball in his final two at-bats. Facing left-handed reliever Vance Tatum with one on and two outs in the seventh, he lofted a 1-2 pitch over the left field wall to extend Augusta's lead to 5-1.
An inning later, Fabian jumped on the first offering from right-hander
Signed by the Giants for $500,000 in the 2014-15 international pool, Fabian had five homers over 107 games in the Rookie-level Dominican Summer and Arizona leagues the previous two years. He found other ways to contribute by posting a .340 batting average, .522 slugging percentage and 35 RBIs last season, good for fourth, third and second, respectively, in the AZL.
The four-hit game raised Fabian's batting average to .268 through 18 games in the South Atlantic League.
On Tuesday, he made a diving catch in the eighth inning and a running grab on the warning track to keep Domenic Mazza's perfect game intact.
Tyler Brown also went 4-for-5 for the GreenJackets, hitting three doubles and scoring a run.
Augusta starter D.J. Myers (1-2) allowed one run on two hits while striking out six over seven innings to pick up his first full-season win.
