Joan Gregorio gave the Sacramento River Cats (27-41) five shutout innings while the offense did just enough in the team's 1-0 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes (34-35) on Father's Day

Gregorio shut the Isotopes' hitters down over his five frames, allowing just four hits and one walk. Eight of his 15 recorded outs came from strikeouts, all swinging. The eight batters fanned set a season-high for the 25-year-old. From there, left-hander Michael Roth took care of the rest, earning the four-inning save. Roth ran into trouble late, putting the tying run on third base in the ninth, but struck out Isotopes catcher Anthony Bemboom to end the game.
The lone River Cats run came in the second inning thanks to a sacrifice fly by second baseman Juniel Querecuto. Six different Sacramento starters collected a base knock in the win while Mac Williamson registered his second three-hit game. Today marked the second shutout victory for the River Cats this season, the last coming on April 10 against Tacoma.
The River Cats will send right-hander Tyler Beede (3-4, 4.86) to the hill tomorrow night as the Isotopes counter with right-hander Jon Gray (0-0, 0.00). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. (PT) and the game can be heard live online at rivercats.com and on the air on ESPN 1320.
