BURLINGTON, IA - Matt Gunter gave up one run in six innings for the second straight start, Ryan Noda drove in Chavez Young three times, and the Lansing Lugnuts (12-8, 55-35) started a six-game interdivision road trip with a 6-2 win over the Burlington Bees (4-15, 34-54) on Wednesday night at Community Field.

The Lugnuts have a 6-1 record at Western Division teams this season.

Gunter (Win, 2-3) gave up only three hits, all to Burlington designated hitter Kevin Williams Jr.. He struck out one, walked two, and held the Bees without a run until Spencer Griffin drove in Franklin Torres with a groundout in the sixth.

In the third, Young doubled and Noda followed with an RBI triple. In the fifth, Young walked, stole second and scored on a Noda double. And in the seventh, Young tripled and Noda delivered him with a sacrifice fly.

Andrew Deramo gave up a run in the seventh inning on an Alvaro Rubalcaba sacrifice fly.

Kyle Weatherly set down the final six batters perfectly, striking out two in the ninth, to extend his scoreless streak to 15 innings.
