Hart, Kent and Ockimey named Eastern League All-Stars
Portland, Maine - The Eastern League has announced the All-Star Rosters for the annual mid-summer classic on July 11th at Arm & Hammer Park in Trenton, New Jersey. The Sea Dogs will have pitchers LHP Kyle Hart, LHP Matthew Kent and 1B Josh Ockimey named to the Eastern squad.

Hart is 5-5, 3.72 ERA (31 ER/75.0 IP) in 13 starts this season. The lefty has yielded one earned run or less in eight of 13 appearances. On May 27th, Hart worked a career-high eight innings in a win against Reading at Hadlock Field.
Last year, he went 6-5 with a 2.15 ERA (28 ER/117.0 IP) and a .224 opponent AVG (95-for-424) between Low-A Greenville and High-A Salem. Hart is in his first Double-A season and was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 19th round of the 2016 draft out of Indiana University.
Kent is 5-5, 3.80 ERA (30 ER/71.0 IP) and second on the team with 71 strikeouts. He began the season in Portland's bullpen and earned his first Double-A win in Game 1 of a doubleheader on May 10th vs. Binghamton. The Texas native worked seven scoreless on just five hits in a June 12th win at Richmond.
Last year, Kent made a team-high 28 starts for High-A Salem, leading the club with 164.0 IP, 142 SO and ranked 2nd in wins (7). Kent is in his first Double-A season, was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 13th round of the 2015 draft out of Texas A&M University.
Ockimey (.257, 11 HR, 37 RBI) began the season on Portland's disabled list and ranks second in the Eastern League with 44 walks. The Philadelphia native leads the club with 11 homers, hitting five in May. Ockimey had five straight two-hit games from June 6-15 and reached base safely in 22 consecutive games from May 5-27.
Last year, he hit a combined .274 (124-for-452) with 14 HR, 74 RBI, 27 2B, two 3B in 131 games with High-A Salem and Portland. Ockimey entered this season ranked by Baseball America as the #12 Prospect in the Red Sox system and was drafted by the Red Sox in the 5th round of the 2014 June draft out of SS. Neumann & Goretti Catholic (PA) High School.
