FRISCO, Texas (August 3, 2018) -Royse City native Taylor Hearn dazzled in his return to the DFW Metroplex, firing 5 1/3 marvelous innings for the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, to secure a 2-1 win over the Corpus Christi Hooks Friday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark.BIG MOMENTS*

FRISCO, Texas (August 3, 2018) -Royse City native Taylor Hearn dazzled in his return to the DFW Metroplex, firing 5 1/3 marvelous innings for the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, to secure a 2-1 win over the Corpus Christi Hooks Friday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark.

BIG MOMENTS
* In his first outing since being traded to the Rangers on Tuesday, Hearn limited the Hooks to just one run in his Frisco debut. He struck out eight hitters and didn't issue a walk to earn the victory.


* Wei-Chieh Huang , another recent trade acquisition, debuted and tossed two innings of scoreless relief with three strikeouts..

* C.D. Pelham worked a scoreless ninth inning to garner his second save in as many attempts.

* Both Riders runs came in the second. Michael O'Neill drove in the first on a sacrifice fly and Josh Morgan scored the other on a wild pitch.

* Friday's win moved the Riders into a first-place tie with Corpus Christi in the second-half standings.
* The Riders have won six of their last seven games against Corpus Christi after going 5-14 against the Hooks to begin the year.
