Trailing 4-1 in the sixth inning, the Brewers started the comeback with a small chip. Zach Clark doubled to start the inning and advanced to third on a groundout by Yerald Martinez. Pinero finished the night 2-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base.
After a quick inning by Karsen Lindell in the top of the seventh, the Brewers took the lead in the home half of the frame. Chad McClanahan drew a lead off walk, followed by a KJ Harrison single. Trying to sacrifice the runners over, Gabriel Garcia dropped a bunt down the third base line and reached when pitcher Christopher Marte (2-3) bobbled the ball. Marte attempted to throw out Garcia at first and send it wide of the bag, allowing McClanahan to score on the throwing error. Gilbert Lara kept the line rolling with an RBI single, tying the game at 4-4. After a sacrifice moved the runners into scoring position, Jay Feliciano hit a grounder towards Offerman Collado at short that dribbled under his glove, poking into left field and bringing in the go ahead to give Helena a 5-4 lead. In the next at-bat, Lara tried to score from third, but was injured in the collision at the plate, leaving the game.
Helena added a pair of insurance runs in the eighth. Pinero singled to start the inning before Carroll launched a home run to left, his third of the season, to extend the Brewers lead to 7-4. Carroll extended his hitting streak to eight games after going 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two stolen bases and three RBI. It was his team-leading 11th multi-hit game.

In the bottom of the third, Helena broke the deadlock thanks to their first hit of the game. With Pinero on third and one out, Carroll lined a ball past the reach of Matt Morales at second, bringing in the runner to give Helena a 1-0.
