Lynchburg, Va - The Lynchburg Hillcats, Advanced-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, announced three new additions to their front office staff ahead of the upcoming baseball season.

Max Gun joins the Hillcats as the team's Broadcaster and Media Relations Manager. He will serve as the team's lead play-by-play voice for all 140 games, while also writing the club's press releases, game notes, game stories and managing the Hillcats website.
"We're excited to welcome Max as our new broadcaster and media relations manager," said Hillcats General Manager Ronnie Roberts. "After serving as a broadcast and media assistant for the past two years for some great organizations, we feel he is ready to take on the lead job here in Lynchburg."
A native of West Bloomfield, Mich., Gun studied Broadcast Journalism at Michigan State University, where he graduated in 2015. He broke into minor league baseball in 2016 as a Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Advanced-A, LA Dodgers) and held the same position in 2017 for the Altoona Curve (Double-A, Pittsburgh Pirates).
In the winter, Gun calls play-by-play for several sports at Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University and University of Puget Sound.
Matt Present joins the Hillcats for his second season of professional baseball, serving as the club's Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant. In 2017, he served as the Broadcast and Media Relations assistant for the York Revolution of the Atlantic League. Present will join Gun on the Hillcats Baseball Network this season.
"We received high praise about Matt, and we're thrilled to add him to our broadcast and media relations team," Roberts said. We feel the organization will greatly benefit from his contributions both on and off the air."
Present grew up in Silver Spring, Md., just outside of Washington, D.C. and studied journalism at the University of Maryland, where he graduated in 2016. During his time at Maryland, Matt did play-by-play for ten different sports, traveling to Chapel Hill, N.C., Morgantown, W. Va., Louisville, Ky., and Omaha, Neb.
This past winter, he called games at Marymount University in Arlington, Va.
Mike Georgiadis comes on board with the Hillcats as Head Groundskeeper. He grew up in New Jersey and joined the U.S. Navy out of high school where he served for five years. After his military career concluded, Georgiadis attended Rutgers Professional Golf Turf Management Program. While attending Rutgers, he completed a two-year internship with the Trenton Thunder (Double-A, New York Yankees). In 2014, he completed another internship at the prestigious Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City. In 2015, Georgiadis interned with the Philadelphia Phillies grounds crew. The following year, he was offered an assistant superintendent position at Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield, N.J.
"Mike's passion for baseball is evident, and he comes to the Hillcats with a wide range of impressive experience," Roberts said. "Calvin Falwell Field at Lynchburg City Stadium has one of the best playing surfaces in all of minor league baseball, and we know that Mike will make sure it stays that way with hard work and dedication. We have confidence that Mike will work well with both our players and coaching staff to provide the best playing surface possible."
Georgiadis' love of baseball brought him to the game, where he most recently served as the Head Groundskeeper for the Helena Brewers (Rookie-level, Milwaukee Brewers) in Montana in 2017.
"We welcome our newest staff members and we are excited to have them on our team for the upcoming season," Roberts said. "They, along with the rest of our staff, will work hard to make sure the Hillcats' organization continues to keep City Stadium a fun, family friendly, clean and safe environment at a very affordable price".
