Home runs hurt BayBears in loss to Blue Wahoos
MOBILE, Ala. (August 9, 2019) - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, were defeated 8-5 by the Pensacola Blue Wahoos Friday night at Hank Aaron Stadium.After falling behind 5-0 in the second inning, the BayBears (43-72 overall, 16-31 second half) scored the next four runs.
MOBILE, Ala. (August 9, 2019) - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, were defeated 8-5 by the Pensacola Blue Wahoos Friday night at Hank Aaron Stadium.
After falling behind 5-0 in the second inning, the BayBears (43-72 overall, 16-31 second half) scored the next four runs.
However, Pensacola (62-55, 24-23) used five home runs to control the lead from start to finish.
The BayBears left a season-high 15 runners on base. Mobile loaded the bases loaded twice and sent the tying run to the plate in the final frame.
