The damage against Hartman came on a solo home run by Luis Mendez in the third. The 24-year-old southpaw struck out nine and walked one.
Hartman (11-4) is now tied for the Texas League lead with 11 wins. He ranks first in the circuit in ERA (2.69) and strikeouts (143).
The Hooks jumped on Edgar Arredondo (0-4) for two runs in the first. Josh Rojas cracked an RBI single into center and Taylor Jones followed with a run scoring double.
