CORPUS CHRISTI - 2018 is the 30th anniversary of Sinton High School's back-to-back state baseball championships. To mark the occasion, the Hooks will pay tribute to the Pirates in a pregame ceremony Saturday, July 28 at Whataburger Field.
On June 9, 1989, Sinton became the first Class 3A school to win consecutive titles since Brenham in 1975 and 1976. In the last 28 years, only one 3A club has managed to defend its crown.

A perennial state baseball power, Sinton has captured 22 district championships, including 10 in a row from 2000 to 2009. The Pirates have reached the postseason in 30 of the last 32 campaigns, advancing as far as the regional final on 12 occasions.
Eight state tournament appearances have rendered three Class 3A championships, the latest in 2002.
The first 2,000 fans through the Whataburger Field turnstiles on Saturday receive a Hooks Christmas Jersey, courtesy of CITGO. First pitch is 7:05 as the Hooks engage the Midland RockHounds. Gates open at 5:35.
