LAKEWOOD, NJ – The Greensboro Grasshoppers defeated the Jersey Shore BlueClaws 9-5, on Friday, April 14. The Grasshoppers move to 5-2 on the season while the BlueClaws fall to 2-5. LAKEWOOD, NJ – The Greensboro Grasshoppers defeated the Jersey Shore BlueClaws 9-5, on Friday, April 14. The Grasshoppers move to 5-2 on the season while the BlueClaws fall to 2-5. Jersey Shore outhit Greensboro 9-8 with one Hoppers error.

Abrahan Gutierrez led the Grasshoppers going 2-4 with two RBI and one free pass. Hudson Head recorded his first home run of the season for three RBI and one run scored. Tsung-Che Cheng recorded a triple with two runs scored and two free bases, while Mike Jarvis recorded a double with two RBI and one run scored.

Starting on the mound for the Grasshoppers was Bubba Chandler who recorded two strikeouts and gave up four hits, three earned runs, and four free bases on 3.2 innings of work. Will Kobos recorded the win for Greensboro and moved to 2-0 on the season. Eddy Yean took the save for the Grasshoppers for his first of the season.

Tristan Garnett took the loss for Jersey Shore and moved to 0-1 on the season.
