Hot Rods Rained Out in Regular Season Finale

Bowling Green, Kentucky– The season finale between the Bowling Green Hot Rods (82-36) and the Wilmington Blue Rocks (52-64) scheduled for Sunday has been canceled. The Hot Rods have an off-day Monday before taking on the Greensboro Grasshoppers in the High-A East Championship Series on Tuesday in Greensboro, North Carolina

Bowling Green, Kentucky– The season finale between the Bowling Green Hot Rods (82-36) and the Wilmington Blue Rocks (52-64) scheduled for Sunday has been canceled. The Hot Rods have an off-day Monday before taking on the Greensboro Grasshoppers in the High-A East Championship Series on Tuesday in Greensboro, North Carolina with a 5:30 PM CT first pitch.

The Hot Rods end the season with an 82-36 record. This was the sixth season in franchise history that Bowling Green reached 80 or more wins. Bowling Green set the franchise record for home runs, hitting 197 over 118 games. The 118 games makes for the shortest season in Bowling Green’s history. The only two cancellations of the year came this week against Wilmington.

The Hot Rods wrap up the regular season in first place in the High-A East. They will be the number one seed in the playoffs, taking on the Grasshoppers in a five-game series. The first two games will take place in Greensboro on Tuesday and Wednesday, both having a 5:30 PM CT first pitch. There is a scheduled off-day Thursday before coming back to Bowling Green for the final three games, if needed.
