Roster Moves: Huberman to Pelicans, Cummins Joins Cubs
SOUTH BEND, IN - The South Bend Cubs have announced that reliever Marc Huberman has been promoted to Myrtle Beach, outfielder Chris Pieters was placed on the disabled list and outfielder Brandon Cummins joins the Cubs active roster.

Huberman appeared in seven games out of the South Bend bullpen and posted a record of 1-0 with a 2.19 earned run average. The left-handed pitcher in twelve and a third innings allowed only 10 hits and three runs while striking out 18.
Pieters was injured in Wednesday's win over Kane County at Four Winds Field. The left-handed hitting outfielder in 80 at-bats was hitting .250 with a .388 on-base percentage with two home runs and 10 runs batted in.
Cummins joins South Bend from the Cubs Extended Spring Training in Mesa. The 23-year old outfielder was signed by the Chicago Cubs in February after spending last year with the Southern Illinois Miners of the Frontier League.
The Delta State product with the Miners in 25 games hit .269 with three home runs and eight runs batted in. Cummins hit his first professional home run on August 17, 2016 and it was an inside-the-park grand slam.
South Bend currently has a 24 man active roster for tonight's 7:35pm first pitch at Four Winds Field against the Clinton Lumberkings.
