Kiner-Falefa played all of 2016 and 2017 with the RoughRiders, the Rangers' Double-A affiliate, and was named a Texas League Midseason All-Star both seasons. The Honolulu, Hawaii native hit the first five home runs of his career in 2017, including one off Major League rehabber

The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas.
