Making his Albuquerque debut, Isotopes starter Brett Oberholtzer took the loss. The southpaw allowed three runs over his 4.0 innings on the mound. Oberholtzer was able to retire 10 of the last 11 Las Vegas batters he faced.
Also making his Isotopes debut, PCL veteran and Albuquerque infielder Shawn O'Malley finished the night 1-for-3 at the plate with a run scored.
With another base hit on the night, Daniel Castro extended his hitting streak to 21 games, the longest in all of Minor League Baseball. Castro's streak is now tied for the third longest in Isotopes history with Jerry Sands. The longest hitting streak in Isotopes history is Mike Tauchman's 28-game streak.
The Isotopes look to avoid the sweep on Sunday when Yency Almonte takes the mound for Albuquerque. First pitch in the series finale is set for 12:05 p.m.
