The Isotopes (21-20) defeated the Reno Aces (17-24), 8-2, on Thursday to open their eight-game homestand. With the victory, the Isotopes have won 13 of their last 18 games.

Albuquerque starter Jeff Hoffman recorded his best outing of the season, picking up the win while shutting out the Aces over his 6.2 innings on the hill. The right-hander walked one and struck out 10. Hoffman's 10 punch outs were the most from an Isotopes starter this season.
At the plate, the Isotopes bats remain hot. Tom Murphy connected on his team-leading 11th round-tripper of the season while Jordan Patterson mashed two home runs on the evening, his ninth and 10th of the campaign.
In his Triple-A debut, Garrett Hampson finished the night 3-for-5 at the plate with three runs scored. The 23-year-old infielder is the Rockies' seventh-best prospect according to MLB.com
The Isotopes and Aces are back in action on Friday at Isotopes Park for the first Family Friday of the season. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
