Isotopes Welcome 9 Millionth Fan, Patterson Matches Career Home Run Record in Loss
Jordan Patterson tied Jason Wood's record of 60 career home runs as an Isotope, but it was not enough as Albuquerque fell, 7-2, for the team's third time in a row to the New Orleans Baby Cakes.
Patterson launched his 20th home run of the season in the bottom of the fourth inning, the 60th of his Isotopes career. The 26-year-old is now tied with Jason Wood as the Isotopes all-time career home run leader.
Patterson reached 60 home runs in 344 games as an Isotope, while Wood connected on 60 round-trippers over his 597 games with Albuquerque.
With Monday's crowd of 7,476, the Isotopes have now welcomed 9,005,367 fans to Isotopes Park over its 16-year history.
The Isotopes offense stranded 11 runners on the night while going 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
