Jannis goes all nine innings in Binghamton's 7-2 win

Binghamton, NY - The Binghamton Rumble Ponies (29-42, 64-71) scored six times in the sixth inning and beat the Portland Sea Dogs (32-35, 59-75), 7-2 on Wednesday night at NYSEG Stadium. Portland still has the series lead, three games to one.

RHP Mickey Jannis (W, 6-5) hurled a complete game on two runs, four hits, and ten strikeouts to earn the win. LHP Matthew Kent (L, 5-7) took the loss, giving up four runs on nine hits over 5.1 innings.
Jannis' complete game was the first nine-inning complete game against Portland since Terry Doyle on June 7, 2015, at Hadlock Field. 
Portland grabbed an early 2-0 lead in the third inning against Jannis. Tommy Joseph delivered a two-run single to plate Nick Lovullo and Jarren Duran (1-for-4).
Kent stranded the bases loaded in the fourth inning but allowed a run in the fifth on a run-scoring single from Quinn Brodey.
In the sixth inning, the Ponies scored six runs off Kent and RHP Anyelo Gómez. Jacob Zanon drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game, and Cody Bohanek walked for the go-ahead run. Brodey added a two-run single and Patrick Mazieka nailed an RBI double.
Adam Lau worked 2.1 hitless innings for the Sea Dogs in relief.
The Sea Dogs and Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Mets affiliate) meet for the final time on Thursday night a 6:35 PM first pitch at NYSEG Stadium. RHP Konner Wade (5-4, 2.95) is on the hill for Portland.
